+ Bird Road Facility Page 3 of 13
i Project Number: E07183A
November 30, 2007
F1
I.3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office
reviewed a recent aerial photograph of the subject property available from GoogleEarth 7M. We
counted the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the assumption that l
F1each building cluster has one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there are a
minimum of approximately 30 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the
Site.
F! Theg
eneral area consists of agriculture with a few scattered residences.
9
F1
I.3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
i
According to a file review at EHD, the septic systems in the vicinity appear to utilize septic
systems with leach lines.
I.3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
According to a file review at EHD, the septic system repairs in the vicinity appear to be for the
F, addition of leach lines.
1.3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Se tic Tank Usage
F1 According to John Wathen and a tentative site plan provided by Wong Engineering, Inc.,
maximum expected usage on the Site would be for the employees of the truck wash and heavy
equipment repair shop. Four trailer spaces will also be available for employees to occasionally
stay overnight. The existing residence on the property will be demolished and a new three-
bedroom residence will be constructed in its place. Septic system design should be based on the
On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations. Please see
section II.3.4.1 of the Nitrate Loading Study for further details regarding waste water flow from
the proposed project.
I.4 Ground Water Information
I.4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the
"j Site. The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current maps available from the
1 county.
F1Examination of these maps indicates tha naw er level data is available for the Tracy/Banta
1 area, which includes the Site, and no de comments as to depth or gradient flow
can be made. A groundwater boring was drilled ce the purpose of s w ter
pond placement on March 8, 2007; ground wate was and to a at approximat ly 14.5 feet
F1 bgs.
902 Industrial Way■Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02007 Nei!O.Anderson&Associates,Inc
I
