The test results show that detectable <br /> concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in three monitoring wells (MW-1, 2 & 101). <br /> MTBE was not detected in any of the samples during this event. <br /> ` The groundwater.level has risen about 0.91 feet since October 1997. Site specific gradient <br /> and bearing measurements and calculations show that groundwater flows in a north- <br /> northwesterly direction at approximately 0.0052 ft/ft. <br /> 1.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> 1.1 Hydrology of Site <br /> A <br /> _ Over the coarse of the project groundwater levels have remained fairly constant. The top of <br /> casing elevations were surveyed into the nearest USGS benchmark on December 18, 1997, <br /> this caused what appears to be a large changed in the groundwater elevations at the site. <br /> On March 18, 1998 depths to water were measured in all eight monitoring wells The <br /> _ : groundwater elevation, gradient and direction were calculated.
