CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In summary, the soil conditions in the percolation test location appear to be suitable for
use with an on-site septic system. A satisfactory soil percolation rate of 5.6 min/in was
observed in the test location. No new construction is planned for the Site.
The depth of ground water based on recent aquifer levels is estimated to range between
5 to 20 feet below ground surface. The ground-water flow is to the north or north-
northeast at a rate of 10 to 15 feet per mile.
A water sample was collected from the domestic water well. Nitrate was detected at a
concentration of 0.8 mg/L-NO3 in the water sample, below the US EPA's Maximum
Contaminant Level (MCL) of 45 mg/L. DBCP was not detected in the sample.
We believe the Site suitable for the use of a standard septic system utilizing leach lines
or a filter bed.
LOGE 1502 Page 8
__.1- -
