This study was performed to determine if this <br /> site is acceptable for a septic system that will function properly <br /> and pose no adverse environmental impact to surface waters, or to <br /> the underlying groundwater. This report is in compliance with the <br /> requirements of Section 9-10100 Item (c) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance No. 3323 , Division 10, Chapter 2 . <br /> [2] SUBJECT SITE AND STUDY AREA BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> The subject property is located southeast of the City of Tracy in <br /> a predominately agricultural region. The topography is relatively <br /> flat and the site is located north of Linne Road and the Banta <br /> Carbona Irrigation District canal. To the east is Bird Road and <br /> to the west is Interstate 5. Various crops are produced in <br /> surrounding fields, including walnuts, alfalfa, row crops and <br /> almonds. There are currently buildings and residential structures <br /> on Parcel 1. The "remainder" portion of the subject property is <br /> currently in alfalfa. The residential density in the surrounding <br /> area is very sparse, consisting of agricultural homesites, <br /> commercial buildings and mini-ranches. <br /> According to San Joaquin County Department of Environmental Health <br /> records, there have been eight applications for additional drainage <br /> in the study area surrounding the subject property.
