Hazelton Avenue (p <br /> Stockton,California 95205 <br /> RE: REVISED DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT COMMENTS— <br /> VERNALIS WEST AND EAST PROJECT <br /> In accordance with the existing groundwater-related conditions of Permit No. QX-91-5, the following <br /> revised comments are provided concerning the Vernalis West and East Project Draft EIR, Chapter 4.1 <br /> Water Resources: <br /> 1) As a basis for initial and ongoing monitoring of water quality and groundwater levels in the vicinity <br /> of-the quarry, the applicant shall submit to the Environmental Health Department an annual report on <br /> -� the status of water supply wells around the general perimeter of the permitted mining areas. A copy <br /> of the annual report shall be submitted to the Community Development Department and affected <br /> property owners. The location of water supply wells has already been determined by the applicant <br /> and utilized for monitoring purposes during the past 13 years, The Environmental Health Department <br /> requires that this monitoring be continued, with domestic wells monitored and tested for inorganic <br /> constituents and bacteriological quality, and all other wells tested for inorganic constituents.
