Steinmetz. <br /> California Historical Resources Information System Records Search <br /> Records of the known cultural resources found in San Joaquin <br /> County are included in the files of the California Historical <br /> Resources Information System, State Office of Historic <br /> Preservation. These records are locally administered by the <br /> iCentral California Information Center housed at California State <br /> University, Stanislaus: The records were searched by the staff <br /> of the Information Center in order to determine whether any <br /> archaeological or historical cultural resources have been <br /> reported found within the proposed project area, or within a one- <br /> half mile of the perimeter of the project tract. <br /> The California Historical Resources Information System files <br /> � . will provide information as to whether a given area is known to <br /> contain cultural resources, but of course absence of recorded <br /> cultural resources in a given area may indicate only that the <br /> area has not been inspected for cultural resources, or that <br /> information obtained by inspection has not been reported to the <br />` Information Center. <br /> The staff of the Central California Information Center <br /> consulted the files of the National Register of Historic Places <br /> (Listed Properties and Determined Eligible Properties 1990 and <br /> updates) , the California Inventory of Historic Resources 1976, <br /> the California Historical Landmarks 1990, and the California <br /> Points of Historical Interest (1992 and updates) in reference to <br /> # the proposed project area within San Joaquin County.
