r
K
This test location maintains sufficient distance requirements between wells, property lines, etc.
The following information describes the preparation of the percolation test borings and the actual
percolation testing:
(§ 6.2, 6.3 and 6.5) On March 27, 2006, 1245 hrs, one shallow perc test boring of 42 inches was
drilled with a truck-mounted drill rig on proposed Parcel 1 and Parcel 2. The test boring for Parcel
2 was drilled 100 feet to the west of the building pad, although there is no proposal to build on this
Parcel at this time.
The sidewalls of the shallow borings were scored with a pry-bar and the loose material removed.
Two inches of fine gravel was placed at the bottom and three-inch perforated PVC pipe was inserted
in each of the two test borings. All borings were pre-saturated on March 28, 2006 at 1000 hrs with
12 inches of water.
(§ 6.4) On March 29, 2006, 0900 hrs, percolation testing commenced for both shallow test borings.
There was no standing water after the 24-hour soak period in the perc tests borings due to the sandy
type soil, as illustrated in Table 1 below. Consequently, EHD Perc Test Procedure#2 was conducted
for both test borings.
1 The last half hour of the tests was witnessed by Michael Escotto, R.E.H.S. of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. The maximum acceptable perc rate is 60 min/in for shallow perc
tests.
(§ 5.4 and 6.$) The following Table illustrates the proposed Parcel number, septic system structure
to be installed based on the depth of the passing perc rate and the comparatively shallow depth to
groundwater, proposed acreage, post soak period status and perc test results for the respective perc
test:
TABLE 1
NNI
PERCOLATON,TEST,RESULTS`AND,RELATED DATA`,
PROPOSED PARCEL PROPOSED SHALLOW PERC TEST POST SOAK PERC TEST
POTENTIAL SEPTIC ACREAGE DEPTH PERIOD RESULTS
SYSTEM STRUCTURE STATUS
EXISTING WELLS
Parcel 1 3.57 t Acres 42 INCHES No Standing 14.7 min/in
Leachlines Water in Hole
Existing House Pad
Parcel 2 38.30 t Acres 42 INCHES No Standing 15.6 min/in
Leachlines Water in Hole
Two Irrigation Wells
One Domestic Well SFR
with Septic System
Page -3-
Chesney Consulting
