The Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWCQB) letter <br /> dated July 1, 1998, the states that the plant did not treat industrial wastes, treated sludge was removed <br /> from rhe site and the plant was last operated over 20 years ago. Therefore, clic, RWQCB does not have <br /> any water quality concerns regarding suture land use of this site. Based on this information, EHD would <br /> not require additional environmental assessment of this property due to its prior land use. <br /> During the normal land use application process in San Joaquin County, tl;e EBD does review and set <br /> conditions on various projects_ Development projects that do not involve installation of septic systems or <br /> water wells are not required to perform soil suitability and/or nitrate loading studies_ It is possible Haat <br /> some type of disclosure statement identifying the former treatment plant and pond locations will be <br /> required on the deeds of the affected properties. In addition, there may be a requirement to remove or <br /> properly destroy any subsurface structures such as the abandoned pipeline mentioned in the July 1998 <br /> Real Estate Development Report_ <br /> I hope this information is of assistance to you.
