The letter also states that there are currently no firm
plans for the alignment of the Bypass. The EiR for the project indicated that because there is no
proposed alignment and because there are constraints to the widening of State Route 88 through
Lockeford, the project will result in cumulative traffic impacts that are considered to be significant and
unavoidable. The staff report contains Findings of Significant Environmental Impact and a Statement of
Overriding Considerations that must be approved-in order for the project to be approved.
As of October 21, 1992, no responses were received from the following:
Building Inspection Division Caltrans
County Assessor North San Joaquin Water Conservation District M
Sierra Club Native American Heritage Commission
Pacific Bell Local Agency Formation Commission
Lockeford Community Services District State Department of Water Resources
APPLICATION DATA
A legal ad for the public hearing was published in the Stockton Record on 10-26-92.
No. of public hearing notices mailed: 347.
