The
site is located within Section 33, Township 4 North, Range 8 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian. This property and the surrounding area are zoned AG-40 (agricultural). The
topography of the site is rolling. There are no significant waterways or drainage channels
crossing the property.
The topographic soils map prepared by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soils
Conservation Service, indicates the site is largely covered by Yellowlark gravelly loam with
smaller areas covered by Montpellier-Cometa complex and Redding gravelly loam. For many
years, the subject property has been used as pasture. The latest San Joaquin County Water
Conservation District Maps reveal that the standing water level of the subject site to be at a depth
of approximately one-hundred and fifty (150) feet. This relates to a groundwater elevation of
approximately negative fifteen (-15') feet.
Attached is a copy of percolation tests performed on September 4, 1997 by Siegfried Engineering,
Inc., Consulting Civil Engineers. Both test holes reveal that the surface soils are underlain by
gravelly sandy loam soil at a depth of approximately three (3) feet. The observed percolation
rates for both were 60 minutes per inch.
Enclosed is a copy of a water analysis also performed September 4, 1997 on an existing domestic
well located adjacent to the subject property. The results for the nitrate and DBCP levels were
found to be acceptable.
4045 Coronado Ave. ■ Stockton, CA 95204-2396 ■ 209 943-2021 ■ FAX 209 942-0214
f:1972751Lfr04.doc
