U
between 1984 and 1999 in the Clements area were approved with the condition that the
final cut and/or fill slope may not exceed the 2:1 ratio.
In November of 2001, Kleinfelder, Inc., performed a slope stability analysis at the KRC
Aggregate facility in Clements. The purpose of this analysis was to"document that
steeper slopes, similar to those used for all the other aggregate facilities in San Joaquin
County could be.used at the KRC plant." It is the opinion of Kleinfelder, Inc.'that a
proposed change to the Conditions of Approval is warranted. Kleinfelder, Inc., also
states that a relatively high factor of safety is available for the proposed 2:1 reclaimed
slope. Therefore, the Community Development Department will be recommending to the
Planning Commission that the proposed 2:1 final slope request be approved.
QX-94-2 has been removed from the originally scheduled Planning Commission meeting
of February 7, 2002. Upon completion and review of the traffic study and noise analysis,
the Community Development Department will schedule the item for another
Development Committee meeting and Planning Commission meeting.
JJ:vb
OX942Dc
C: KRC Aggregate, Inc.
I
i
I
f
I
