At your request,
Messrs. Hal Cochran and Vern Selvage of-our firm performed tests at the site on August 19 and
September 16, 1992, on an intermittent basis.
According to our test records, the test results conform to the compaction requirements of the
project specifications. The test results were given to your representative on the testing;dates and
are shown on Table I.
WORK AT THE PROJECT SITE
Eight tests were taken by the nuclear probe test method at random locations on a building pad.
The depth of fill was approximately 1.5 to 2.5 feet.
t
r
LABORATORY TESTING
Samples of the material tested were returned to the laboratory for determination of the maximum
density-optimum moisture content. The laboratory test results are shown on Table TF
LIMITATIONS
Because Kleinfelder, Inc. was not involved in the original geotechnical study and did not observe
the grading for the project, we cannot accept any responsibility for the quality of construction
or the adequacy of design. This includes, but is not limited to, settlement of existing fill. The
scope of our work was strictly limited to density testing in the areas noted.
.i
We have employed accepted engineering and testing procedures. However, we do not: ndertake
the guarantee of construction, nor do we relieve the contractor of his primary responsibility to
produce a completed project conforming to project plans and specifications.
i
9
Copyright 1992 Kteinfet&r, Inc.
