R
3) DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED RECLAMATION:
a) Subseguent Use(s):
The proposed use for this project is to remain in agriculture. The field is to be
planted in wheat or corn the first two years after reclamation and
subsequently thereafter alfalfa row crops or an orchard.
b) Reclamation Schedule
Upon the removal of all sand field to be leveled with laser land leveling
equipment. Leveling and sand removal to be done in two phases. After the
field has been leveled, field to be deep ripped and disked for farming. The
property basically remains the same after the leveling, but more productive.
See Attachment "A"for maps. Reclamation is to be done concurrently and to
coincide with excavation of sand removal.
By removing the top layer of sand the soil below is heavier and richer and will
increase the sparse production of the past to a more farmable ground and
insure less water usage and loss of water.
c) Post Mining Topography
See Attachment"A" post reclamation topography, drainage, benches, roads,
cross sections through slopes, cuts, fills, original ground, post-mining surface,
geologic conditions, reclaimed surface, and other pertinent features are
shown on the attached Reclamation Plan. Slopes will not exceed 1.5, and
stabilization should not be a problem
d) Impoundments
No impoundments are proposed for this property.
e) Drainage
The land is very sandy and any one water truck will be used for dust control
and watering the sandy material to be removed. Land to be leveled with a
1/1 oil per cent fall for every 100 feet. Water will not leave this ranch. There
are no jurisdictional wet ands on the property.
5
