ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS:
"Yes"may only be checked in situations where.there is substantial evidence to indicate that there
may be a significant adverse impact on the environment if there is no change in the project
description. C( EQA Guidelines, Sec. 15064)
See the "Discussion"section at the end of the Initial Study for explanation of any impacts checked
"Yes",or any No answer marked with an asterisk{*}.
Sources. The following sources of information have been used in determining environmental
impacts:
Original source materials and maps on file in the Community Development Department including:
all County and City general plans and community plans;Mountain House Master Plan, Specific
Plan I;Neighborhood"F" Special Purpose Plan and other supporting reports for Mountain House;
Mountain House Storm Water Master Plan and Phase 1 Neighborhood F Storm Drainage Report;
assessor parcel books;various local and FEMA flood zone maps;service district maps;maps of
geologic instability;maps and reports on endangered species such as the Natural Diversity Data
Base;noise contour maps; specific roadway plans;maps and/or records of archeological/historic
resources;soil reports and maps;etc. Many of these original source materials have been collected
from other public agencies or from previously prepared EIR's and other technical studies.
See appropriate sections of earlier EIRs. It is pertinent to state here that the "project"being
evaluated in this initial study are amendments 1.0 plans that were subject to a tier of EIRs: These
EIRs identified potentially significant impacts that needed mitigation;these amendments do not
create any additional impacts,thus the use of"NO" for various items on the checklist.
1. WATER:
i
a. Is any portion of the project
subject to flood hazard? YES
Flood zone: A2,A3,A 16,A 1
The "proi ect"discussed here does not impact any of the flood zones,although the
flood zone areas are within the Mountain House planning area and willreguire new
levee construction before development within flood zones. No significant impact is
thereby anticipated by the prop osed amendments.
b. Will the project result in reduction of surface
or ground water quality or quantity? NO
i
C. Will the project result in
increases to surface,channel '
or stream volumes,or alterations
to drainage patterns and streams? NO
PAGE 7
I
