The California State
Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has established the following Global ID code for the
site under its Geographic Environmental Information Management System: T0607700606.
As noted in the Well Closure Report, the method used to destroy the monitoring wells that was
approved by the SJCEHD's field representative generally did not generate any waste material
other than casings, well-head boxes and bituminous macadam and concrete surfacing debris.
However in the case of three wells, i.e. Monitoring Wells MW-1, MW-12 and MW-313, due to
failure of the casing while it was being extracted, it was necessary to drill out a portion of the
material in the annular space between the casing and the walls of the boring drilled to install the
well. That material included Portland cement grout, Bentonite seal material and filter sand. No
contaminated soil was extracted from the subsurface. Paving, concrete, plastic, and other debris
including annular space material was initially stockpiled on a sheet of industrial plastic before
being transferred to a debris bin. The bin and its contents, which amounted to 3.83 tons, were
transported to Tracy-Delta Solid Waste Management, Inc.'s disposal facility. The disposal
documentation is attached. All metal was recovered by the driller for recycling.
If you have any questions, please call me at(510)336-9118,
SincerelyZ E.SSl0
7
D. J.
