Weber Ave.- <br /> Stockton, <br /> ve.Stockton, CA. 95202 <br /> Dear Mr. Simas, <br /> T am opposed to the proposed 43 acre development project Located southwest <br /> of Canepa Road and southeast of Hildreth Road, for the following reasons: <br /> First, the agricultural aspect in which precious farmland is being covered <br /> up and eliminated. Furthermore, residential housing near undeveloped farm— <br /> land creates conflict with neighboring residential areas when spraying the <br /> crops and working the fields. <br /> Second, overcrowding population of the area creates an environment for crime <br /> and overcrowding of existing schools. The conflict that this plan proposes <br /> will slowly deteriorate the area. <br /> Third, Stockton is an agricultural area that supports literally thousands of <br /> people and insures thousands of jobs. if we continue to eliminate this . <br /> agricultural land which if finite in this area, we will be destroying our <br /> community and the reason for its' success. <br /> Fourth, individuals such as the Solari and Foppiano Families, and others, split <br /> that land for their families and then sold it for their financial gain. In <br /> reality, we have seen in the past that this property is for new home sites for <br /> resale. If you take a close look at these homes, they are not being sold on a <br /> timely basis. With the hc::ses sitting idle and without any maintenance on the <br /> property, we find that this property is an eyesore in the community. <br /> Fifth, three years ago you opposed one and a half acre Lots. This time they <br /> propose one acre lots which will only increase the density of the population <br /> and create even more animosity and conflict in the area. <br /> NOV .2 3 [992 <br />
