Box 8752 h.
Stockton, CA 95208
Dear 1-forada A_ea Association :
I am sending you $100 . 00 instead of 510 . 00 as proof of my moral
support of what you are doing . i . e . fighting to keep Morada the way
it is.
My Son Dr. John H . Zeiter lives on Lloyd Lane off Hildreth and my
Secretary for 25 years Jane Brause also lives on Barre off 11crada
Lane . I own twelve lots in the Willows and have not sold one lot
for over 15 months . I have advertised, listed them and worked on
selling them to no avail . Neither the need nor the demand are
there . There is no benefit for starting another subdivision in the
lforada area at this time .
We all know, a new subdivision will :
1 . Decrease agricultural land
2 . Increase traffic
3 . Use the available mater supply
4. Increase the number of empty, unsold lots
The only one who benefits would be two people as opposed to the
thousands who live in lforada.. The only beneficiaries would be the
farmer who sells at high prices and the developer who will parcel
the land for his own benefit ( that ' s if he doesn ' t go bankrupt
during the process ) . Yes , there is a third beneficiary. The
County who are always anxious to generate more property taxes .
Everybody else loses ! You know it and I know it. The Morada
residents lose , the environment loses and those of us who have a
ton of unsold lots lose . ( Incidently I am paying the County
$2000 . 00 of property taxes per lot for bare unproductive land , and
I have the lots advertised at no more than cost ! )
Let those who want a subdivision go somewhere else other than
Hor.ada. The residents of Morada have a beautiful quiet area to
live in. It ' s the only one left in and around Stockton. All the
others have been commercialized ( including Brookside ) . As a matter
of fact, Morada area has been called " little Connecticut" because
of its untouched natural areas .
255 E.WEBER,STOCKTON,CA 95202 9 209/466-5566 • FAX, 209/466-0535
