Because of a lack of a public water supply available for fire
protection, it will be necessary that the developer provide the
fire flow as required. This can be accomplished by utilizing a
well, static water supply and hydrant system calculated and
Installed for the fire flow and demand projected. The
installation of a fire sprinkler system in each home could
decrease the amount of water required by up to 50%.
2. Fire apparatus access roads shall be required for new buildings
constructed when any portion of an exterior wall of the first
story is located more than 150 feet from the public access
road. This road shall be constructed to meet or exceed
standards published in Public Works design standards {Sec.
10.203 UFC. If roadway's are built as indicated, all roads shall
be posted as "Fire Lanes-No Parking" to secure 20 foot
required road width. The requirement could be waived if a
Residential Sprinkler system is installed in each home.
3. The Fire Department recommends that "A" Court and "B"
Court be tied together to minimize fire apparatus pparatus response
times from the Fire Station on Ashley Lane.
Please feel free to contact me at 468-2228 should you have any
questions relating to these conditions.
F
