Site Chamcterization and Soil Remediation Plan: 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, (A Page 2 <br /> k'�r <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This work plan has been prepared for a site characterization program and for <br /> the remediation of excavated soil affected by hydrocarbons that has been <br /> stockpiled on the site of a former fueling station at 7500 West Eleventh Street, <br /> Tracy, California When eight underground fuel tanks were removed from the <br /> site in December 1998, soil and groundwater beneath the property was found to <br /> be affected by fuel hydrocarbons <br /> ` Site Location <br /> The subject property is situated at 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, <br /> California, at the intersection of Chrisman Road with West Eleventh Street <br /> That location is shown on Figure 1- <br /> Site Code <br /> ublic Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> The San Joaquin County P <br /> Division (S3CP14S) has established the following identifier for the subject site: <br /> Site Code 1392- <br /> Background <br /> The property at 7500 West Eleventh Street was used as a fueling station for <br /> trucks and other vehicles from circa 1930 until 1998. Over that period, the <br /> station was owned and operated by a number of entities. The property is also <br /> the site of a restaurant and a disused public truck scale- The locations of the <br /> fueling station infrastructure, the restaurant, and the truck scale are shown on <br /> F. Figure 2. <br /> Mr, Carl B. Navarra and Mrs- Annamae F. Navarra, et ux (the Navarras) <br /> < purchased the property on October 31, 1979 from Ms Meridall Sue Tiago, the <br /> window of Joseph L. Tiago, Jr. During the year 1980, Jack Anastasio and Jim <br /> Meservy leased the property. For the next two years, 1981 and 1982, it was <br /> }_ leased from the Navarras by Charles L. Profito (d.b a. C & M Truck Service) <br /> Jeri Fisher (d.b.a. Tracy Auto/Truck Plaza) leased the property from January 1, <br /> 1983 until January 31, 1992_ Finally, starting on February 15, 1992, the <br /> property was leased by Mel Bokides Petroleum, Inc. (Bokides), and was <br /> subleased to Mr. Jodha Singh Gill and Mrs. Tirath Kaur Gill, et tax (the Gills) <br /> who operated the Olympian Service Station on the property. That lease and <br /> ' sublease were relinquished by Bokides and the Gills, respectively, in late 1998, <br /> and the Olympian station ceased operation. No fuel dispensing or service <br /> station operations have been conducted on the site since that time. <br /> The restaurant on the property remains in operation and is leased from the <br /> Navarras by,Able Manilla Mendoza and Guadeloupe Contrecias, et n3c, who <br /> sic <br />
