Extended Site Characterization Report: 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, CA, Page 1
1.0 INTRODUCTION
ZOO.
This extended site characterization report has been prepared for the site of a former
fueling station at 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, California. The fueling station
ceased operation in 1998, and, in December of that year, eight underground fuel tanks
were removed from the property. At that time, it was found that soil and groundwater
F beneath the property were affected by fuel hydrocarbons.
GSI
An initial phase of site characterization work was completed in May 2000. That program
t..` included the drilling of 14 exploratory borings at the site and the installation of seven
groundwater-quality monitoring wells. The program results were presented in an
engineering report submitted to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
(SJCEHD). Including the round conducted at the time of the initial site characterization
work, five rounds of groundwater-quality monitoring were conducted at the site over the
:3 period May 2000 to December 2001. The results of each sampling round were also
reported to the SJCEHD.
This present report presents the results of an extended site characterization program that
was conducted in March and April 2002, during which two additional exploratory
boxings were drilled at the site and eight additional groundwater-quality monitoring wells
installed. Interpretations based upon a. synthesis of the complete suite of data that has
been gathered during the several phases of investigation, on the hydrogeology of the
subject site and its environs and the extent to which components of fuel hydrocarbons
released at the site have affected soil and groundwater are also presented.
1.1 Site Location
The subject property is situated at 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, California, at the
intersection of Chrisman Road and West Eleventh Street. That location is shown on
Figure 1.
.1.2 Site Codes
1 The California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has established the
following Global ID code for the site under its Geographic Environmental Information
Management System: Global ID: T0607700606.
The California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) -- Central Valley
Region has established the following Case Number for the site: Case Number: 390773.
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department has established the following
identifier for the subject site: Site Code: 1392.
sic
