There is a need for this church in this community. The population <br /> has grown, and they need more room. <br /> Steve Sko said he supports the project. The parish has outgrown the church. <br /> Russ Newman said the site was a junk yard before the church came in. k <br /> r <br /> Joan Bisumac said she supports the project. The site used to have trash and drug users on the property. <br /> The church bought the site and cleaned up the property. i <br /> a <br /> Angel Suvio said he supports the project: <br /> i <br /> OPPONENTS: <br /> James Colton said this area is zoned agriculture. The existing.church has enough room to handle the people <br /> that are already there. A sound wall should be put up.•�-.This is a major road for trucks. Noise and odor <br /> pollution from trucks is a big problem. Traffic bottlenecks and backs up. l <br /> l <br /> Katie Patterson, representing the Farm Bureau, said she has concerns about environmental impacts. <br /> Agricultural land is being taken away. This site is surrounded by agriculture. There is a right to farm <br /> ordinance. Noise, dust, and odors from farming operations will conflict with the church. She said a full EIR <br /> i <br /> should be done for this project. <br /> George Patton said he is not opposed to the church but is opposed to the increased traffic and noise impacts. <br /> REBUTTAL: <br /> Peter Carota said there are a lot of farmers that support this project. The services are too full, and they need <br /> more room. <br /> Alex Chetley, Public Works said a traffic study was conducted. Peak hours were studied. Intersections were <br /> looked at. Impacts are reflected in the conditions of approval. A traffic control plan will be required. <br /> I PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED: ° <br /> Commissioner Nickerson said the church probably needs more seats.
