It was noted that that a cornfield <br /> lying only about 6 feet from the test hole had been recently irrigated and the soil <br /> appeared to be totally saturated. This is believed to ha-ve,�m-ater-i,ally reduced-the <br /> " ` € -obse-rve.d..p.ercolation-rate.--- _� M_. <br /> A second percolation test at this site was subsequently requested by the SJC- <br /> EHD. The test boring was installed to a depth of 10 feet, and the percolation <br /> r. rate was measured at 2.87 minutes per inch. At the site of the proposed large <br /> septic system, both a shallow and a deep test were conducted. The borings were <br /> installed to depths of 45 inches and 111 inches respectively.
