CQ PR 1998
April 13, 19198 mmUnityOeVeinpn7
int Dept.
CCUNT! CF SAN "CACU'IN
Community Development Department-Service Division
IS 10 Hazeiton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Attn.: Kerry Sullivan
i
Kerry Sullivan:
We have a problem and many concems with the application of Stacy M. Powers
Number UP-98-0005, in which we received in the mall.
We are off Carrolton Road, which is a very busy read. We have small children and only
foresee more traffic from vehicles entering and exiting the Powers residents with horse
trailers, RV's and other vehicles. We are concerned for our family and those of others
of possible serious accidents and the fact that the property will need more parking which
would cause other serious problems, if people start parking along the side of Carrolton?
Road . i
We already have a huge dust and fly problem. I have read in Ms. Powers application,
that she is addressing this area according to "Health Regulations". What are these
regulations and are they enforced, obviously not They do not and cannot spread all
that manure everyday with just wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes and manure forks, plus
where will t;^ey spread it after the area is expanded? We have Ived in the
neighbe,,,l^ccd for the past 6 ,Mears and to this date gave not seen this cone properly.
We are expecting our third child this November and we do not wish to see the already
bad fly problem get even worse. Between the Powers place and the chicken ranches
-.s neighboncccd is i fasted `avith flies, dust and of course V le odor.
We are also concemed for our safety as well, if alcohol is served at aHorse si?ow i
ft:nction. possible r owdy horse enthusiast may become drunk and light and wonder on
to our private property. This would be a serious threat to my Family and to our prvacy
and entering ,,^nto aur private property along with our neighbors property.
Another area eE concem is that of the urine waste tom the horses. Having that many
l^crses in the area could cause a uhr eat to cur family and other neighhcrs ground water
IN eds. Vvhict' ,Are 'et`! or r^r ccvkirg, r r.King and ^aching. jlIhatviil orotect us if this
enation crn the horses seeps into the ground and reaches our weiis_
