Is the noise level from folks "leaving rubber/tire tracks" up and down
Carrollton any less offensive than a speaker directing horse riders over a few hours for a horse
function? Also, I could not excuse the "bouquet"from a cattle facility near the intersection of
River/Carrolton.!also noticed neighbors slowing down passing.Stacey Powers' ranch, continuing to
scrutinize and harass her every move. Just how busy and preoccupied are these citizens?
1 own horses. and, since manure/urine is a natural function, I re-cycleallof my manure. I spread it to
dry, reusing it in stalls"mixed with shavings and rice hulls. I reside adjacent to a cattleman who
abandons his dead cows where they die in pasture; I am downwind! Not a pleasant experience at all!
k I was intrigued by the age/gender of the opponents-having the impression that this is a"good old
boys club" not wishing "a woman" to succeed in business. Did not any of these opponents experience
a "growth pattern" with their businesses;did they start small and grow in size/scope or have their
businesses always been the some size?--What-prerogative do they have to deny a horse rancherthe . .
right to earn a living and be successful?
I was concerned that some of the opponents were coerced into bellyaching because of persuasion
placed upon them by the"political influence" of the elder opponents.
What makes a horse rancher any less of an acceptable business than the fruit/vegetable
rancher/grower with his caustic pollution of soils and contamination of ground water through
fertilizing and pesticide spraying and air pollution from burning tree limbs/pruning clippings which
could be chipped and re-cycled? Is the rancher/grower mandated to remove fallen, dead, rotting, and
fly-laddened fruit from his orchards? Is the,rancher/grower conscious of his fuel spillage and
overflowed-overfilledpetroleum oils and greases?
. .
E
