Work Plan for Refined Mine Definition and Management of Floating Product-7500 W 11 th St., Tracy, CA
v
AV
ar
3
 f
yg dx
,s n
Plate 1: Removing Floating Product(LNAPL) from Tank Pit at 7500 W 11th. St., Tracy
Notes:
1. Vacuum truck operator is seen using a vacuum lance to skim floating product from surface of
groundwater.
2. Floating product was not released from tanks, but flowed into open pit from the subsurface beneath the
pump island to the west approximately eight hours after the pit was excavated.
3. Two additional applications of the vacuum extraction procedure implemented over a period of one week
removed a total of 2,000 gallons of floating product and eliminated all LNAPL from the 7500 W 1 1 th
Street property. This remedial action was followed by a rapid fall in the concentrations of components of
fuel hydrocarbons in groundwater in local,down-gradient, water-quality monitoring wells.
-
sic
