<br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A Site Approval application for the expansion of an existing 347.711 square foot poultry egg
<br /> farm from 300.000 birds to 700,000 birds in (6) six phases over (9) nine years. Phase One includes the addition of 100,000
<br /> birds and the demolition of 71,520 square feet of buildings. Phase Two to be completed in (3) three years includes the
<br /> addition of 100,000 birds and the construction of a 33,100 square foot compost barn. Phase Three to be completed in (5)
<br /> five years, includes the addition of 100.000 birds and the construction of a 55,500 square foot layer house. Phase Four, to be
<br /> completed in (7) seven years includes the addition of 100.000 birds and the construction of a 55,500 square foot laver
<br /> house. Phase Five, to be completed in (8) eight years, includes the addition of 100,000 birds and the construction of a
<br /> 55,500 square foot layer house. Phase Six, to be completed in (9) nine vears, includes the infill of the existing pond the
<br /> construction of a 2,775 square foot packing and cold storage building and the addition of(3) three manure drying tunnels to
<br /> existing layer houses. Each manure drying tunnel to contain 15,500 square feet. This parcel is under a Williamson Act
<br /> contract.
<br /> The Property is zoned AG-40 (General Agriculture, 40-acre minimum) and the General Pian designation is A/G (General
<br /> Agriculture).
<br /> PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is located on the south side of Carter Road, 1,300 feet east of Henry Road,
<br /> Escalon (APN/Address: 207-080-04/30636 East Carter Road, Escalon) (Supervisorial District: 4).
<br /> ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: A Negative Declaration may be proposed for adoption. Copies of the Initial Study
<br /> and proposed Negative Declaration will be available at the Community Development Department.
<br /> APPLICATION REVIEW: If you have any recommendations or comments on this project, please submit them to the
<br /> Community Development Department no later than May 4, 2018. Comments or recommendations received after that date
<br /> would not be used in staffs analysis and recommendation for this application. The County's Development Committee will
<br /> review this application on May 16. 2018.
