The test holes were drilled with truck-mounted drilling equipment using 6-inch diameter <br /> continuous-flight augers. Approximately 3 to 4 inches of gravel was placed in the bottom of the test <br /> holes and the test holes were cased with slotted PVC pipe. The test holes were filled with relatively- a <br /> clean water and left to soak overnight. <br /> A representative of our firm returned to the site on October 9, 1996 and performed the percolation test <br /> according to San Joaquin County guidelines. The tests were performed for a period of 4 hours and the <br /> last 30 minutes were used to calculate a percolation rate of 24 minutes per inch for each test.
