Evaluation of Natural Attenuation: 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, CA. Page 55
l; The hydrosratigraphic and geographic consideration described above that would support
an a priori finding that groundwater in the three cited wells has been validated by a full
"r year of quarterly monitoring. Accordingly, SIC recommends that monitoring of
groundwater-quality in those three wells be discontinued.
Although no analytes of concern have been detected in any of the samples recovered
from the potable water supply wells at 7500 West Eleventh Street (The Casa Mendoza
Restaurant), 23950 South Chrisman Road (The Baptist Council of Northern California)
j-: and 23901 South Chrisman Road (Suburban Propane), wishing to employ an abundance
of conservatism, SJC recommends that the quality of the potable water in those wells
continue to be monitored for another year on a quarterly schedule. Of the six potable
j water supply wells included in the original monitoring program, those three are closest to
the source of the fuel hydrocarbon release. If one more year of groundwater-quality
monitoring in those wells demonstrates that they continue to be free of analytes of
concern, consideration should be given to discontinuing the potable water supply
monitoring program.
Note: A formal request to discontinue monitoring the quality of
groundwater in the potable water supply wells at Gowan Construction, the
Carmelo Business Park and Anthony's Auto Body that was submitted to
the SJCEHD by SJC on May 20, 2005 (The San Joaquin Company Inc.
2005) was approved by that Agency.
The next round of potable water quality monitoring at the site will be conducted in June
2005. Samples of groundwater recovered from the potable water supply wells will be
analyzed for the same suite of analytes as is specified in Section 10.2.4 above for water
=' recovered from the groundwater-quality monitoring wells.
[.
i
E
SJC
.;I f
