Report:Groundwater-quality Monitoring—July 14-15,2006, 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, Cit. Page 15
3.0 FUTURE GROUNDWATER-QUALITY MONITORING
The proposed frequency and scope of future rounds of groundwater and potable water
monitoring at the 7500 West Eleventh Street site are presented below.
3.1 Groundwater-quality Monitoring
Although the MAROS analyses that was performed on the groundwater-quality data that
had been accumulated for the Navarra Site through Match 2006 demonstrated that a cost-
effective and statistically-rigorous future monitoring program would require recovery of
samples from wells on, at most, an annual frequency, the SJCEHD directed that
monitoring should continue on a semi-annual frequency (San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department 2006). Accordingly, the next round of groundwater-
quality monitoring at the site is scheduled for February 2007.
During 'the February round an effort will be trade to find and clear the Monitoring Well
MW-2 well head so that it can again be included in the array of wells to be sampled_ With
that done, depth to groundwater in all extant wells on the site will be measured and
samples will be recovered from MW-3, MW-13, MW-7, MW-11, MW-14, MW-18, and
MW-19 arrayed along the long axis of the principal plume, Monitoring Wells MW-2,
MW-5 and MW-17 on the western fringes of that plume, Monitoring Wells MW-4,
MWFP-2, MWFP-5 and MW-10 on the eastern fringes of that plume, and Monitoring
Well MW-12, which is located in the secondary plume of affected groundwater on the
L C, site.
Each of the groundwater samples recovered will be analyzed for the following
suite of analytes.
Analyte Method of Analysis
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons EPA Method 8015M
(quantified as Diesel) with pre-treatment by
EPA Method 3630.
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons EPA Method 8260B
(quantified as Gasoline)
Benzene EPA Method 8260B
Toluene EPA Method 8260B
Ethyl benzene EPA Method 8260B
Total Xylene Isomers EPA Method 8260B
Tertiary-butyl alcohol EPA Method 8260B
Methyl-tertiary butyl ether EPA Method 8260B
sic
