Report: Groundwater-quality Monitoring—March 29-31,2006, 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, CA Page 22
P 9
variations in groundwater elevation in that well on the days samples were recovered. The
fluctuations in the concentrations of TPHd in response to the rise and fall of the
groundwater table is clearly seen and demonstrates that, at the Navarra Site, the
occurrences of the high concentrations of TPHd occur at the opposite season to those that
would be assumed based on weather patterns alone.
Given the characteristics of seasonal variations on concentrations of analytes of concern
l= described above, it is evident that, to provide for a conservative assessment of the degree
to which natural attenuation processes have remediated groundwater beneath the 7500
West Eleventh Street Site, rounds of groundwater-quality monitoring conducted at an
annual frequency should be undertaken in July of each year.
rr '
t
1
sic
