Report: Groundwater-quality Monitoring-December 20-21, 2005, 7500 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, CA Page 19
Cw6.4 RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on SJC's recommendations regarding groundwater-quality monitoring that were
developed following completion of the natural attenuation and monitoring program
optimization studies that were completed following the March 2005 monitoring round
conducted at the Navarra Site (The San Joaquin Company 2006c), the next round of
groundwater-quality monitoring is scheduled for March 2006. It will include recovery of
samples from Monitoring Wells MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-7, MW-10, MW-11,
MW-12, MW-13, MW-17, MW-18, MW-19, MWFP-1, MWFP-2, MWFP-4 and MWFP-
5.
Following completion of the March 2006 monitoring round, it is proposed to perform a
second Monitoring and Remediation Optimization System (MAROS) analysis to plan an
optimal program for future groundwater monitoring at the 7500 West Eleventh Street Site
L (United States Air Force 2004, United States Environmental Protection Agency 2005). It
is expected that that study will again demonstrate that an effective groundwater
monitoring program would require recovery of samples from the majority of wells on the
site at no more than an annual or biennial frequency (The San Joaquin Company Inc.
2006c). If that proves to be the case, SJC will recommend a monitoring program scope
that will be closely tailored to the results of that analysis.
The next round of potable water quality monitoring is also planned for March 2006.
SJC
