Teichert & Son, Inc. PERMIT/SERVICES
P.;O. Box 15002
Sacramento, CA 958.!I51
Subject: ADDENDUM TO SEPTIC SYSTEM SUITABILITY STUDY
REPORT DATED JANUARY 27, 1992 S^/1 NNED
SUBDIVISION ON NORTH CLEMENTS ROAD
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
4 Dear Mr. Sandman:
k
I This letter addresses several questions from Mr. James Miller with
San Joaquin County Environmental Health regarding the referenced
septic system suitability study report. Reference is also made to
our report dated May 26, 1992, which was prepared for the subject
project.
Our responses to Mr- Miller' s questions are as follows:
• We understand that the site is surrounded by pasture
on all four [`sides, which has been the case for as
long as Bert` can remember. The site has been used
strictly as pasture for the last three years. Prior
to the last three years, portions of the site
contained vineyards and olive orchards.
s
The percolation tests were performed on January 21
and 22 , 1992 . The test holes were presoaked per
County guidelines the days before testing (January
20 and 21, .1992, respectively) and were left to soak
overnight,
• As noted in Table I on page 3 of our January 27,
1992 report,. only one 3-foot deep test passed, and
it just met the minimum percolation rate acceptable
! by the County for standard leach lines. The deeper
tests produced significantly faster results.
Therefore, although one 3-foot deep test did pass,
+ it is our opinion that septic systems at- the site
will likely !' have to be designed using sump pits,
G extending toIminimum depths of approximately 8 to 10
feet. Once is the remainder of the lots are tested,
the required depths. of the sump pits can be
determined.
i
e.y .r 149q 'ICLei ffeld r, Inc:
KLEIN[JEK -9 's Eas{]vlyrtie Street, Stockton, CA 95205 (209) 948-1345
