Copperopolis Rd.
Stockton, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division
(PHSIEHD) has reviewed "Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report"
dated September 29, 2001, prepared by Upgradient Environmental Consultants
for the above referenced site.
Soilcontamination is documented to exist to 90 feet below surface grade (bsg)
and groundwater is contaminated. The report conclusion that the vertical limit of
I contamination in the soil is approximately 100 feet bsg is not supported by .
s analytical data. Therefore a work plan to continue to investigate the lateral and
vertical extent of soil and groundwater contamination that includes installation of
a minimum of three monitoring wells should be submitted to PHSIEHD by
December 17, 2001.
All groundwater samples should be analyzed for TPHg by EPA Method 8015M,
for BTEX by EPA Method 8021 B or 82608, and for MtBE, TBA, DI PE, ETBE,
TAME, 1,2-DCA, and EDB by EPA Method 8260B. Groundwater samples should
also be analyzed for lead. These samples should be field filtered and analyzed
using EPA Method 7420. A sufficient number of soil samples should also be
analyzed for the above contaminants,
If you have any questions contact me at (20.9) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Unit IV
C: SJCADA— David Irey
CVRWQCB — Marty Hartzell
Upgradient—Vic Cherven
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
R \
