The sixty-day public participation <br /> period ended 1UJune 2O14. <br /> On 11 July 2U14. the Sen Joaquin County Environmental Health Department /EHO>was notified <br /> by Pat Cullen, P(S' of the State Water Board, that the Fina} Closure Order had been issued by <br /> the State Water Board on 7 April 2014. Once this has occurred,"the monitoring and remediation <br /> vvoUo associated with this site must be destroyed within 180 days of date of the Final Closure <br /> Order in order for the responsible pmdx to be eligible for reimbursement from the State Water <br /> Board Cleanup Fund' <br /> To expedite the pnnoaos of closing this site, the ERD has omitted the need to submit n well <br /> destruction work plan. In place ofthe work plan, the EHD directs that m well destruction permit <br /> application be submitted to this agency that includes the proposed method to destroy each well. <br /> The EHO will navimvv the well destruction proposal submitted on the permit app|(ontion/s and if <br /> the proposed well destruction method does not nnead the San Joaquin County Well Standards, <br /> the permit appUnmtion/a will be revised by the EHO and the pmnnit/s will be iasued, contingent <br /> upon the modifications made on the permit application by the EHO.
