5.2 Description of soilrofile i ' p Pit including depth and dimensions: The shallow test holes _ were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter. They were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel." 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Archerdale clay loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lith ology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Archerdale clay loam has a slow permeability. However, this was not reflected in the tests, thus, percolation rates were good as demonstrated by the shallow percolation results. (See Appendix). 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site Map Showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each Parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared, one on each proposed parcel. No deep percolation tests were performed. 6.3 Description of the Date, Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole, Including w Depth and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak (Minimum 12 Inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County 4 Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Louie Mendez of Dillon & Murphy on April 26, t 2005. On April 29, 2005 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The hole was filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel and at this time Environmental Health Department was notified of the start of the test. 6.4 Description of the Date, Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak Period (Hole Still Intact, Hole Dry,Depth to Water Remaining in Hole, Etc.): On April 29, 2005 the two shallow test holes did not contain any water. Six inches of water was added to each hole. There was a continuous drop in the water level and the shallow test was continued for four hours. \ r 6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter, 2" gravel, 6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02, 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (Including Readings) Was Provided With REHS Verification Signature.
