I. INTRODUCTION This report issues my fndings regarding the Nitrate Loading Study, Soil Suitability Study and Wastewater Disposal Operational and-Design Parameters for the proposed Tracy Islamic Center (TIC) Mosque in Tracy, California. These studies were required by the San Joaquin County Environmental_Health=Department (EHD) and comply with the San Joaquin County Development Title, specifically-Secp tion.9-4,105.2(d). Mr. Mohammad Arain is the TIC Representative and has - - provided the preliminary: information to complete these studies. .His complete knowledge of the Muslim faith and cultural practices are referenced throughout this report, particularly with respect to water usage within the Mosque. NLS§ 2.3, SSS§ 1.2... The proposed=Mosque is to be located in what is referred to as the Larch Clover.area of Tracy. Since the City of Tracy sewer has not expanded to this area, the Mosque must operate with an on-site decentralized wastewater management system, also known as a septic system. Domestic water-is currently-:proposed to be supplied by an on-site well. However, the City of Trac has.installed :1�2 y a inch water main in the centerline of Larch Road. Given the-potential difficulty in.achieving'acceptable water quality that meets County, State and Federal guidelines, . connection to the City water�main-may be explored. A domestic well currently exists on the subject property, which is very shallow at 40 feet deep. The project site is within the city limits of Tracy, at the southeast:corner of the intersection of Larch Road and Corral.Hollow:Road. °Currently, the subject property is mostly vacant, except for two buildings as-illustrated-by thewaerial-EHD Parcel Viewer Map. Previous use of,the subjectproperfy was as a labor.camp. Th c- total Parcel area-is-2.59 acres. The purpose of these Studics was to collect the following information to fulfill the requirements:of EHD. Discuss operational parameters Jo achieve the two goals.of proper wastewater management and nitrate.loading mitigation from the disposal system: This was accomplished by the referenced testing, physical/chemical analyses and operational parameters incorporated into the design of the wastewater disposal system.
