n
extent of contamination to the east of the dispenser island is unknown at the present time.
6.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The lack ofstrong evidence ofsoil contamination in the vicinity of KF-t and KF-2 indicates that
groundwater in these wells has probably been contaminated by downgradient migration of
hydrocarbon contaminants within the saturated zone. Potential upgradient sources of this
contamination include the two UST's and dispsensers at the site, the leaking UST's.that were
fonnerly present at the neighboring Chevron site, and the suspicious sire across the street from
the Chevron site. We recommend continued groundwater monitoring, as well as further
assessment of the extent of contamination to the north and cast. The next monitoring event and
the installation of additional wells should be performed during the first quarter of 1995 and
reported in the next Quarterly Report.
I
7.0 REMARKS AND SIGNATURE
f
The recommendations contained in this report represent a professional opinion, and are based in
part on information supplied by the client.
