Weber Avenue, 3rd Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: Third Quarter 2005 Groundwater Monitoring Report for the Fayette Manufacturing Site,
7675 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, California
Site Code: 2233
Dear Mr. Henderson:
As required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD), ATC Associates Inc.
(ATC) has prepared this letter report summarizing the Third Quarter 2005 groundwater monitoring and site
activities performed at the above referenced site (Figure 1). Sampling was performed to monitor the
distribution of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater. Monitoring was performed to evaluate the
groundwater flow direction and the hydraulic gradient in the uppermost aquifer.
SITE LOCATION
The project site is located at 7675 West Eleventh Street, between MacArthur Drive and Chrisman Road, in
Tracy, California. The site location is shown on Figure 1. The vicinity of the site is primarily a commercial
and industrial area. The property is owned by Dr. A.R. Glover.
The site is located on generally level terrain which slopes gently toward the Tom Paine Slough, a northwest
trending extension of the delta located approximately 2.5 miles north of the site.
BACKGROUND
On October 15, 1986, two 500-gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the .
site. During removal of the USTs, petroleum product was noted in the southern UST excavation (Figure 2):.
Soil samples were collected from two feet below the bottom of the USTs, and petroleum constituents and
lead were detected in the soil samples.
On July 18, 1995, Smith Technology supervised the installation of three groundwater monitoring wells,
MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 (Figure 2). During installation of the monitoring wells, soil samples were
collected from the borings. On July 21, 1995, Smith Technology developed and sampled monitoring wells
MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3. Analytical results of the soil and groundwater samples collected indicated
elevated concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were present in the soil and groundwater downgradient
of the former gasoline UST locations.
s:\Environmental\17861\reports\3gmr2005.doe I ATC Associates Inc.
ENVIRONMENTAL, GEOTECHNICAL AND MATERIALS PROFESSIONALS
