L`
the other constituents were reported well below their respective MCLS. MTBE was detected in
the groundwater samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-5. Only the groundwater
sample collected from well MW-2 contained MTBE at a concentration that exceeded the MCL of
5.0 micrograms per liter (µg/1). Groundwater analytical results are summarized in Table 2. The
laboratory analytical reports are included in Appendix B.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The laboratory analytical results of the groundwater samples collected on August 24, 2004, are
generally consistent with recent historical results. The concentrations of COCs detected in the
sample collected from MW-2 generally increased with respect to the previous sampling event.
The concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents detected in the sample collected from
MW-3 decreased with respect to the previous sampling event. The groundwater elevation has
increased on an average of 0.49 feet, which could explain the change in concentrations. The
groundwater gradient direction is consistent with previous sampling events.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this matter please contact our office at (209)
579-2221.
Respectfully submitted *fv -»te,a.
a` I S
ATC Associates Inc.
