Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95205
Regarding: Addendum to Soil Suitability Study
Timan Property
APN 241-110-42
451, 463, &469 E. Critchett Ave.,Tracy, CA
Original report prepared by Kleinfelder
Report dated July 25, 2002,Addendum dated September 4, 2002
PA-1800101 (MS)
Mr. Kith:
• To address the requirements of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, we
have prepared an addendum to the Soils Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study prepared by
Kleinfelder in 2002. The subject Site is the property located at 451, 463, and 469 East Critchett
Avenue, Tracy, California (Plate 1), owned by Ralph and Diane Timan.
At the time of the Kleinfelder report, Mr. Timan proposed to divide the Site into two parcels, a
59.15-acre Parcel 1 and a 2.0-acre Parcel 2. Three percolation tests were performed, one on
Parcel 1 and two on Parcel 2 (Plate 2). The results of the percolation testing performed by
Kleinfelder are as follows (see page 2 of 2002 report):
Test Number Depth, ft. Percolation Rate min./in.
P-1 3.5 Did not percolate
P-2 3.5 Did not percolate
P-2 (new hole) 3.5 33
The current project involves the creation of a 5.00-acre Parcel 1 and a 36.86-acre designated
remainder (Plate 3). When the new map is superimposed on the old map (Plate 4), it can be
seen that all three of the original percolation tests performed by Kleinfelder fall within the
boundaries of the currently proposed Parcel 1. Therefore, a passing percolation rate (33 min/in)
has been documented on Parcel 1.
Because the previous percolation testing addresses the current proposed parcel division, no
further testing should be required at this time.
•
Environmental Engineering Geology Geophysics
