..
L i
Site Hydrogeology
a
The depth to groundwater beneath the site was recorded at. 6.34 to 7.80 feet bgs. The evaluated
1 groundwater flow.direction on July 21, 1995 was towards the north-northwest with a hydraulic
gradient of 0.003 ft/ft as shown on Figure 3. The flow-direction and gradient may be subject to
seasonal fluctuations.
1
l Analytical Results - Soil
The results of laboratory analyses of soil samples collected from the borings .indicate that
L
petroleum constituents were detected in the shallow samples collected from borings B2 and B3
and were not detected above method detection limits in any of the samples collected from boring
I.
B1 or deeper samples from B2 and B3. TPHg was detected at concentrations of 2;400 parts per
million (ppm) and 250 ppm in the samples from borings B3 and B2, respectively. BTEX
compounds were detected above the method detection limits in samples from borings B2 and B3.
Analytical results are shown in Table 1.
I
I
Analytical Results - Groundwater
The results of laboratory analyses of groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells
indicate that petroleum constituents were detected in the samples.collected from wells MW-2 and
MW-3 and were not detected above method detection limits in the samples collected from well
MW-1. TPH was detected at concentrations of 4 800 arts per billion b and 920 b in the
g P P (PP ) Pp
samples from wells MW-2 and MW.-3, respectively. BTEX compounds were detected above the
method detection limits in samples collected from wells MW-2 and MW-3. Analytical results, are
shown in Table 2.
V N:\95122\PAR.dm
•
SMTH
