Glover, Smith Environmental Technologies Corporation-has prepared_this letter report <br /> summarizing the Fourth Quarter 1995, Groundwater Monitoring and site activities performed at <br /> �. the above referenced site (Figure 1). Sampling was performed to monitor the distribution of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater at the site. Monitoring was performed to determine the <br /> groundwater flow direction and the hydraulic gradient in the uppermost aquifer. <br /> t` r <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Site Location <br /> The project site is located at 7675 West Eleventh.Street, between MacArthur Drive and Chrisman <br /> Road, in Tracy, California. The site location is shown :on Figure 1. The vicinity of the site is <br /> primarily a commercial and industrial area: The property is owned by Dr. A.R. Glover. <br /> The site is located on generally,level terrain which slopes gently toward the Tom Paine Slough, a <br /> northwest trending extension of the delta located approximately 2.5 miles north of the site. <br /> Previous Work <br /> On October 15, 1986, two 500-gallon gasoline USTs were removed from the site. During <br /> removal of the USTs, petroleum product was noted present in the southern UST excavation. <br /> (Figure 2). Soil samples were collected from 2.feet below the bottom of the.USTs, and petroleum - <br /> constituents and lead were detected in the soil samples. Analytical results-for these soil samples <br /> are presented in Appendix A. <br /> On July 18, 1995, Smith Environmental supervised the installation of three groundwater <br /> -� monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2,,and MW-3)(Figure 2).
