Cummings and Associates (JPCA) is pleased to present the
following report of the environmental investigation results of
the UST soil sampling from the Piedmont Lumber site located at
7777 West 11th Street, Tracy, CA. The parcel is relatively flat.
UST removal was accomplished by JAMES J. HOBLITZEL & ASSOCIATES
(JJHA) . Figure 1 is the Site Location Map.
INTRODUCTION
JAMES J. HOBLITZEL & ASSOCIATES personnel were excavating on the
site and found an Underground Storage Tank (UST) estimated to be
a 500 gallon gasoline UST. JJHA reported that they thought
there was contamination based on an odor (gasoline) in the tank
. excavation.
JJHA prepared a proposal to remove the UST conforming with all
the regulatory requirements. Two soil samples were collected
approximately one foot below the bottom of the tank in the native
soil and another just above the groundwater level in the pit if
• groundwater was encountered. Laboratory results were to be sent
by Facsimile directly to the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Division (SJCEHD) .
1
