SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The lead (Pb) concentrations found in the soil samples are
relatively low and not considered significant.
The TPHD results found are most likely higher range aged gasoline
constituents.
The TPHG and BTEX are relatively high and require further site
characterization and remediation.
JPCA recommends that further excavation be completed, that soil
samples at the non-detect levels of the excavation be collected
and analyzed to affirm concentrations. Three wells should be
placed on the site to find if groundwater is affected by the soil
contamination from the UST pit. and to calculate the site
gradient.
This report has been prepared specifically for PIEDMONT LUMBER,
TRUSS DIVISION through their contractor, JAMES J.
