monitoring wells. They are 7675 West Eleven St. (the property
immediately to the east of the subject site) , 8203 West Eleventh
,F St. and 7890 West Eleventh St. The plans, with the monitoring
well locations are in Appendix C. They are 2 inch PVC drilled
into the first saturated zone and are less than 40 feet deep.
The gradients are reported to be northerly for all three sites
which coincides with the calculated gradient for the subject
property.
ADDITIONAL WELL WORK
All the site wells have had new well manhole covers placed on
them at grade level subsequent to the March measurements. The
existing well casings were cut to below grade and new elevations
for top of the casings were established.
SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND-RECOMMENDATIONS
The calculated groundwater gradient is N260W or 3340 . The water
levels in the monitoring wells has risen approximately on foot
since the last water levels were taken. This rise is most likely
due to the heavy rains experienced in this local for the last
three months.
The well survey data and reported gradient data indicate that the
general gradient in the immediate vicinity of the subject site is
northerly and does not impact any domestic wells.
The "potable well" water sample had no detectable concentrations
of TPHG, BTEX or the Oxygenates.
MW-1 had no detectable concentrations of TPHG, BTEX or the
Oxygenates.
MW--2 had less than 1 ppm TPHG, 26 ppb Benzene and 4.1 ppb MTBE
contamination. '
MW-3 had no detectable concentrations of TPHG, 13 ppb Benzene and
less than 1 ppb MTBE contamination.
MW-BT had no detectable concentrations of - TPHG or Oxygenates, 7.1
ppb Benzene, 1.7 ppb Xylene and less than 1 ppb Ethylbenzene
contamination.
The concentrations of contaminants are very low. Therefore JPCA
recommends that two more quarters of groundwater sampling and
gradient determinations. After the four quarters of data have
been compiled and analyzed, closure of the site file may be
6
