In the proposal WSPs will process approximately 375 <br /> to 400 cubic yards of contaminated soil from a former diesel tank pit. 17he.Nntauunated soil wi71 <br /> be processed in an asphalt bunwr and than reused as roadbase for asphalt pavement. <br /> Approval hes already been granted by Stanislaus County Department of Environmental Rn wurces <br /> by letter dated 27 August 1993. The Stanislaus County approval also included requirements for <br /> testing of two samples from the processed soil and being notified of the location where the soil is <br /> reused. <br /> Your proposal states"After processing the soil through the asphalt batch plant at WSPs Hughson <br /> facility itis anticipated that the soil will contain stable levels of BTEX". Your proposal to <br /> treat and reuse the diesel contaminated soil is approved with the following conditions: <br /> I. Samples taken in accordance with the County's approval must be analyzed for leachable <br /> concentrations of TPH-diesel and BTEX If leachable concentrations of TPH-diesel and <br /> BTEX are detectable than the sail must be reprocessed and tested, taking two samples as <br /> before, until nondetectable levels are achieved <br /> 2. Results of sampling, done in accordance with condition number one above, must be <br /> submitted to Board staff before the soil is reused to ensure that nondetectable levels of TPH- <br /> diesel and BTEX are achieved <br /> 3.
