Box 2009 Stockton, CA 95201 RE: Genstar/Western Stone Products, 8181 West Eleventh Street, Tracy, California Dear Ms. Meays: <: This letter presents the results of Third Quarter 1993 monitoring and sampling activities at the Frr above referenced site (Figure 1). Activities included measuring the depth to water in wells MW1, MW2 and MW3, purging and sampling well MW3. Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on July 28, 1993. Depth to groundwater measured in wells MW1, MW2, and MW3 was subtracted from wellhead elevation to determine groundwater elevation (Table 1). Water levels on July 28, 1993 had risen an average of 0.63 feet since last measured in April 1993. Figure 2 depicts the groundwater gradient on .iuly 28, 1993. Gradient magnitude was approximately 0.005 ft/ft or 25 ft/mile in a north-northwesterly direction. Monitoring data is presented in Attachment 1. On July 28, 1993, after purging and stabilization of pH, conductivity, and temperature a groundwater sampie was collected from downgradient well MW3. A disposable bailer was used to collect the sample. The well purge log is included in Attachment 1. The groundwater sample was delivered to State-certifier] Sequoia Analytical Laboratories in ` Redwood City, California for analysis of total petroleum hydrocaRbons as diesel (T HD) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) utilizing EPA methods 3510/8015 and 503018020, respectively. No petroleum analytes were detected in the groundwater sample collected from well MW3. Table 2 summarizes analytical results.
