First Quarter 1993 Monitoring Report
POI Western Stone Produces,Tracy,CA
Project No.W0195.00
Page 4
depicted on Figure 3. The quantity of benzene and diesel, calculated from the estimated
quantity of residual soil is 0.0027 lbs. (0.05 fluid ounces) of benzene and 3.6 lbs. of
diesel (Table 4).
Western Stone Products intends to use the soils which are stockpiled on site as roadbase
underlying asphalt. Western Stone Products is currently awaiting a suitable construction project
for this use.
As proposed in RESNA's November 24, 1992, Source Removal Report., an additional round of
groundwater monitoring and sampling will be conducted in April. Should petroleum
hydrocarbon analytes be below State MCLS at that time we anticipate requesting case closure.
On behalf of Western Stone Products we request your permission to dispose of the remediated
water stored on site. Discharge to the ground surface is proposed as the most cost effective
option. Alternative options include use in batching concrete or trucking to the City of Tracy
Sewage Treatment Plant.
3 If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me at (209) 838-3507.
Respectfully,
RESNA Industries, Inc.
Gregory P.
