Business Loop 205, Tracy, CA (county site code: 1393)
Dear Ms. Meays:
This letter presents the results of RESNA Industries' (RESNA) 1992 third quarter groundwater
monitoring/sampling and includes the soil boring installation report for the referenced site
(Figure 1). Activities included monitoring depth to groundwater, purging of wells, groundwater
sampling, and analysis of samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHD), benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), Also, two soil borings were installed, one in the
former tank pit (SBI) and one within 5 feet of the former tank pit in an easterly direction (SB2).
Figure 2 depicts the location of soil borings SB1 and SB2, j
QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING & SAMPLING
Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted on July 27, 1992. Depth to groundwater
was measured in each well and subtracted from wellhead elevation to determine groundwater
elevation (Table 1). Water levels in July were found to have risen approximately 0.8 feet since
last measured in April 1992. Figure 2 depicts the groundwater gradient on July 27, 1992.
Gradient magnitude which has changed slightly since April 1992, is approximately .0044 ft/ft
or 23 ft/mile in a north-northwesterly direction. Monitoring data is presented in Attachment 1.
Water samples were collected from downgradient wells MW3 and MW4 on July 27, 1992, after
purging and stabilization of pH, conductivity, and temperature.
