In a phone conversation
between Greg Stahl and Mary Meays (August 28, 1991), Ms. Meays stated in part that it was
the inclination of San Joaquin County to simply require two additional rounds of sampling,
witnessed by a representative of the county, prior to issuing a recommendation for case closure.
The final round of monitoring and samplingwill be conducted in Janus 1992. San J
January, Joaquin
q
County will be notified prior to the event and will be requested to have a witness present.
1
r
Please be advised that if TPHD/BTEX concentrations in January, 1992 are found to be less than =
State Maximum Contaminant Levels, it would be the intention of Western Stone Products, Inc
to discontinue monitoring and sampling at the site and to apply for monitoring well }
abandonment W =Apkf fhcu¢ Atlr`r # ,t # Faiiit '.: 1' F
ab dt fs>'an Joaquin County would also expressly recommend case closure
OF
w '`e` + ta aJ , ,",.._ UN 9 t
ave :._ .. et± '
Y r is hoped, however, that San Joaquin County will recognize Western Stone's
efforts in this regard, and would look favorably on their application for well abandonment and
case closure. 1
If you have any questions or comments please contact either of the undersigned at your earliest
possible convenience.
!
